Market days.

Markets or Mercadillos are a common sight in towns and villages throughout Andalucia and are an essential part of Spanish Way of Life. They are colourful, noisy, entertaining and an experience not to be missed whether you plan to buy or not. Markets thrive throughout the province and are the centre of life in towns and villages. There are also Sunday and flea markets in several coastal towns. There two popular Sunday markets in the area, the one in Sabinillas and the one in the Estepona Marina.

Marbella: every Monday morning near the industrial zone, the exit after la Cañada on the Malaga Coastal Road.
Puerto Banus: every Saturday the market is located near the bullring, it is a very large affair with a wide range of goods on offer. The stalls spread in all directions. Be ready for parking problems around the site.
Estepona: every Wednesday, from the Marina round about, take avenidad Puerta del Mar and turn left at the first round-about. Not easy to park, it's better to walk from the Marina.
Estepona: every Sunday in the marina
Sabinillas: every Sunday a large and well organised market. Easy parking.
La Linea: every Wednesday close to Gibraltar border. Massive and well organised market with all kind of bargain imaginable.

Shopping.

Carrefour Estepona, the largest supermarket in Estepona, offering a selection of clothing, food, electronics, books, music, bedlinen etc., with a small shopping gallery. Opening times Monday to Saturday 9 AM till 10 PM. Open the Sundays during summer and Christmas Time.
Estepona old town has a lively centre, Calle Terraza and Calle Real are the 2 main shopping streets, located directly behind the avenidad de España. La Cañada is located on the A7 in direction of Malaga at the junction for Ojen and Parque Commercial. Opening times Monday to Saturday 10 AM till 10 PM. Open the Sundays during summer and Christmas Time.
Cinema, restaurants are open beyond these times.
Puerto Banus and Marbella high streets are lined with designer boutiques and exclusive jewellery shops. Great place to blow your budget and shop like a celebrity.
