Estepona Golf Courses

Almost ten years have passed since the last 18-hole golf courses were opened on the Costa del Sol so it is great news that a new 18-hole course opened in Estepona in June 2020, a municipality that with this new addition has nine courses.

  • Estepona Golf.
    Opened in 1989 and designed by José Luis López, this 18-hole course makes the most of its beautilul natural setting, at the foot of the Sierra Bermeja mountains, and with sea views over most of the site.
    The course is marked out with palm, eucalyptus and olive trees, which lend it great scenic beauty.
  • Valle Romano Golf.
    Designed by Cabell B. Robinson with the players' enjoyment in mind, this is an 18 hole professional standard course.
    Set in a natural setting and surrounded by autochthonous vegetation, with its broad greens contoured into wavy lines in the American style to give a sense of movement and a great game of golf.
  • Los Almendros.
    Designed and planned by Bartolomé Benítez Sanjuán, the course was opened in 1999. Los Almendros is a 9-hole, 3 par course, with a driving range and putting green.
    Closed its doors in 2015 unfortunately, the grills were fabulous
  • la Resina Golf .
    A sublime 9-hole golf course, 3 and 4 par, designed to perfection with impeccable gardens surrounded by olive and palm trees, bougainvilleas and over 1,000 different kinds of flower.
    The greens and tees are immaculate down to the last blade of grass, with a combination of paspalum and agrostis turf. The long distances mean that you can use all your clubs.
  • El Coto de la Serena.
    Designed and planned by Pedro Morán Montero, the site was opened in 1988. As one plays the 9-hole course one has unsurpassed views over the sea. Situated in the Sotoserena Residential Development, it combines all a goller needs to enjoy a good game. Closed its doors in 2018 to make way for concrete.!!!!
  • El Paraiso Golf Club.
    Designed by Gary Player, this course was opened in 1973 and, with 18 holes, it's one of the coast's oldest established course so far, over twenty years this course has been a Mecca far golfers, regardless of your handicap.
    The design is matchless, with the fairways running between meandering streams, flanked by palm trees and an abundance of exotic fauna, including jacarandas and mimosas. The lakes provide a habitat far a variety of water fowl.
  • Atalaya Golf & Country Club.
    This is one of the Costa del Sol biggest golf complexes.It has 2 magnificent 18-hole courses: El Atalaya Old Course, designed by Bernhard Von Limburger - a c1assiccourse with generously proportioned Bermuda grass fairways, bunkers in strategic positions and fast greens, the Atalaya New Course without a doubt a stimulating challenge for golfers of any standard
  • Campanario Golf Club
    This 9-hole, 3 par course stretches along both sides of a trough running alongside the Dos Hermanas stream bed.
    Designed by Félix de Diego de Gregorio, the going is suitable for all kinds of player. Its fairways are lavish with luxuriant vegetation, immaculate lakes and wavy contour lines, which makes the game a cheerful and entertaining experience.
  • Azata Golf NEW.
    Almost ten years have passed since the last 18-hole golf courses were opened on the Costa del Sol, so it is great news that a new 18-hole course has been opened in this leading European golf tourism destination.
    The course has been designed by Sterling and Martin Golf Clourse Architects, and the construction has been carried out by the company GTM Golf & Turf Management, by Gabriel Gallegos.
